T Rex Vs Carnotaurus

Seeing as the Indominus Rex is on a winning streak in the FMs, it's time to see if it can defeat the one other notable super-dinosaur.Arena: The cliffs from the end of DinosaurRules: UnscaledVerdict: On the fence about this one. The Carnotaurus is ludicrously strong, able to throw around adult Iguanadons with ease with even just the flick of it's head. Durability wise their only notable feats that come to mind is being smashed into massive stalagmites and being buried under several tons of large boulders (Granted one was killed but the other survived).

Meanwhile the Indominus has been shown to be more than capable of taking on a large theropod and coming out on top. However I'd say that the Carnotaurus is just as strong as Rexy and more durable to boot. There is also the possibility that the I-Rex might use her smarts and push the Carnotaurus off a cliff. I feel like this would be a very long fight, but the for all the Carnotaur's strength and durability he has no real offense capable of bagging him a win. Leaning towards Indominus for a superior array of weaponry.

Like with the Spinosaurus, I'd have to say that I-Rex would win because she's a genetically-engineered super-dinosaur. She's bigger and has bigger claws, she's already stronger than a T-Rex (which is stronger than a Carnotaurus), and she survived having a full-grown T-Rex clamp down on her neck. I don't think there's anything to suggest the Carnotaur is much more than a typical predator. This seems too one-sided in favor of I-Rex.

Rex

She's bigger, stronger, and more intelligent, with bigger claws and a better bite. She has every advantage. She's already stronger than a T-Rex (which is stronger than a Carnotaurus), and she survived having a full-grown T-Rex clamp down on her neck. I don't think there's anything to suggest the Carnotaur is much more than a typical predator.Proof? While I admit that the T-Rex was able to toss around the I-Rex fairly easily which is pretty impressive, the Carnotaurus literally sent adult Iguanadons flying with minimal effort.

At one point the Carnotaurus launches Neera with a flick of it's head. The Carnotaurus survived being buried under several tons of rock, as well as being smashed into huge stalagmites in a cave. She prefers to use her brawn to overcome her opponent(s). So while this statement isn't incorrect, it is entirely moot simply because I-Rex won't use it here. It's more than just that. It's more like her tyrannosaur instincts kick in whenever she goes up against something around her size (The anky, Rexie) and she just charges in head first. In both cases, it took her a little bit of time for her to remember that 1.

She ain't a T-rex and 2. She got the nastiest claws around for her to actually do stuff. Otherwise, she had to take a hit or two first. Now, the Carnotaurus isn't what I'd call the greatest of fighters. Yes, he was throwing the Iguanodonts around like ragdolls, but for each hit he dished out, they were able to land a hit back, with one of them even pushing him to the edge of the cliff before he tried to retaliate.

Against the I-rex, that's gonna be a fatal mistake. He'll land a hit. And then I-rex won't relent. It'll be doing much more than just pushing him, it'll be gouging him up, slinging him around like a ragdoll, and ripping him to pieces before pinning him and breaking his neck.

When does this happen?Second half of the video is the actual important stuff for this debate. Now yes, the carno is pretty strong. But you can see where I'm coming from when i say it's a pretty shoddy fighter. Every hit it landed, its foes were able to land a hit back, and even push it around, and these were iguanodonts HALF ITS SIZE. Against the I-rex, whose as big as it, that's just something it can't afford to do. Hell, the I-rex took the anky club to the face better than the Carno did an Iguanodont tail. And I think we all know which of those two attacks are nastier. Giratina93 wrote:Now yes, the carno is pretty strong.

Also I'd argue that not being crushed by tons of rock is more impressive than being hit by the Ankylosaurus. Ow yes, the carno is pretty strong. But you can see where I'm coming from when i say it's a pretty shoddy fighter.

It was sent staggering back from the blow to the head, and it was sent staggering farther, and longer, than the I-rex was from the anky club swing. Therefore, it took the blow better than the Carno did.2. You can see when the Carno limps out of the cave-in that it's REALLY messed up from it. A horn is fractured, it's walking out on a limp, and there's multiple gashes and bruises all over. Compared to the I-rex, who took an RPG point blank and got back up without a scratch, and took all the abuse from Rexie and Blue, down to the shards of building and wires in its hide, and didn't even struggle to get back up on her feet. And since this is the same area as where the Carno bit the dust last time, there's nothing stopping the I-rex from just shoving the poor bastard off the edge of the cliff if all else fails. Giratina93 wrote:Compared to the I-rex, who took an RPG point blank and got back up without a scratchMore like a grazing hit from the RPG's explosion.

Nice try.It detonated right beside her, and she got up perfectly fine. Keep in mind that something as strong as an RPG explosion that close would cause massive internal damage, ruptured blood vessels and internal bleeding that would cripple, if not kill your average creature. It's the same reason why grenades don't have to be directly on you to kill you with their explosion. Just the blast radius is enough to wreck you internally.

Carnotaurus was a large predatory dinosaur. Only one species, Carnotaurus sastrei has been described so far. It lived in Patagonia, Argentina during the Campanian or Maastrichtian stage of the Late Cretaceous.

It was a large theropod, about 8 meters (26 feet) long, weighing between 1,488 kg and 2,626 kg (1.6 to 2.9 short tons), depending on the estimation method. The most distinctive features of Carnotaurus are the two thick horns above the eyes, and the forelimbs are greatly reduced with four basic digits, though only two ends in the middle of the finger bones, while the fourth splint-like and may have represented an external spur. The fingers themselves were fused and move, and have no claws. It is also characterized by an unusually long neck (compared to other abelisaurs), and a small head with box-shaped jaws. Carnotaurus eyes facing forward, which is not unusual in a dinosaur, and may indicate binocular vision and depth perception. There is a rather puzzling contrast between Carnotaurus’ deep, robust look skull and shallow, slender lower jaw.

So far no one has worked out what this might imply about the feeding methods.Ceratosaurus meaning “horned lizard”, referring to the horn on the nose, is a large predatory theropod dinosaur from the Late Jurassic Period, found in the Morrison Formation of North America, in Tanzania and Portugal. It is characterized by large jaws with blade-like teeth, a large, blade-like horn on its snout and a pair of upper hornlets eye. The forelimbs were powerfully built but very short. Incorporated the sacrum bone and pelvic bone belonging together and this structure is similar to that of modern birds.Ceratosaurus was a fairly typical theropod, with a large head, short forelimbs, robust hind legs, and a long tail. Uniquely among theropods Ceratosaurus have leather armor, in the form of small osteoderms running down the middle of his back. The tail of Ceratosaurus comprised about half of the total length of the body. It was thin and flexible, with a high spine spines.

Type specimens are an individual about 17.5 feet (5.3 m) long, it is not clear whether these animals are grown. Norman Ceratosaurus estimate that the maximum length is 20 feet (6 m).
